About AISINDO & the Symposium Series
AISINDO — Yayasan Asosiasi Sistem Informasi Indonesia — is the Indonesian Chapter of the Association for Information Systems (AIS). Founded to advance information systems scholarship and practice across the archipelago, AISINDO convenes researchers, educators, doctoral students, and practitioners working at the intersection of IS, accounting, and digital transformation in emerging-economy contexts.
Mission
AISINDO's mission is to foster a regionally grounded, internationally connected IS research community. We pursue this through three programmatic threads:
- Annual symposia and workshops — peer-reviewed venues for Indonesian and regional IS scholarship, with proceedings indexed in international open-access series
- Doctoral & early-career development — methods schools, paper-development clinics, and mentoring for Indonesian doctoral candidates
- Curriculum & institutional partnerships — collaboration with member universities on IS, AIS, business analytics, and information systems governance curricula
Relationship to the AIS Global Community
AISINDO is the official Indonesia Chapter of the Association for Information Systems (AIS), the global professional society of IS academics established in 1994. Through this affiliation, Indonesian IS scholarship is connected to the worldwide AIS chapter network and to AIS-affiliated conferences (ICIS, ECIS, AMCIS, PACIS) and journals (MIS Quarterly, ISR, JAIS, JMIS, CAIS, JIT, EJIS).
